On City illustration - Boston

This particular piece was made for an Airbnb blog article on its positive impact in Boston. Living in Beantown at the time, Decue was inspired by her own experience to create this illustration. Interestingly, she creates a composite image of the city and its neighbouring towns by including iconic buildings of Cambridge.

Decue edits her drawings on her computer with digital tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Starting off-screen, she plays with her hand-made textures, screen prints and collages. This technique gives her illustrations unique and rich patterns similar to brush and paper textures.
