What is Tekuma’s mission?
Space needs Art / Art needs Space We want to democratize the arts by creating beautiful galleries everywhere. We want to solve the problem of exhibiting art: too much talent goes unseen. At the same time, a lot of properties with bare walls are waiting to be personalized and lack authenticity. At Tekuma, our vision is to create the world’s largest gallery without owning any real estate.
We help artists spread their stories. Displaying their art is the best way to do it. Too much good work goes unseen!
The founders went through architecture school, and we started out by exhibiting our own work in Airbnbs. We loved the idea that our work could be appreciated by more than a handful of students. The most exciting part was that visitors noticed the art, and even left reviews in the Airbnb listings.
What does Tekuma do?

How does Tekuma set up a gallery?
We look for real estate that needs art! We actively contact property managers and owners to bring a gallery to their spaces. Our curators look at their brand, space and aesthetics and find the right artist, for the right space. Your stories are very important because they help us pitch the gallery. We are still working on an art proposal interface, but this is what is one of our samples looks like.
How do I get started?
Don’t let your work of unseen! The process is easy. Share your digital work on our art submission form (only shared with invited artists), and provide some information about yourself. We do the rest. We will print, frame, curate and install your work as soon as we find a place to display it.
How can I earn revenue for sharing my work?
For exhibitions, it’s a different story! We will provide instead photos of the exhibit. Why not receive a payment? Bringing your work on display requires a lot of work: connect with client, pitch idea, curate, coordinate installation and photography to finally produce a profile of the gallery.
For all sales, we split the profits after covering the framing, printing and shipping. We value our artists and you will receive 55% of the profits. What does Tekuma do with their share? We use it for our online store, and marketing campaigns to promote your work. It’s a win-win!
To see how we price your artworks, you can check out our discover.tekuma.io.
How will I know if my collection has been installed in a gallery?
You will receive an email with a link to your gallery page. It includes artist information, and pictures of your installed gallery. We are also working on an artist portal to be released this summer. Stay tuned!
How can I sell artworks through your gallery?
As soon as your work is submitted, and our curators see a potential match, they will upload your work onto our online store. At that point, you can share that link or invite others to purchase your work. You can reap those sale profits! Make sure you share with us your PayPal information.
When we set-up a physical gallery for you, it will also link to an that online storefront. Visitors will be able to purchase your work. If you already have an online store we can link your gallery to it. We will print/frame it and forward you the royalties.
How do I know if a print has been sold?
You will be notified via email, and payments are currently issued bi-monthly. You can always give us a call or send us an email if you have questions about your payments.
Can I edit the information I submitted?
Great question! For now not really, you would have to send a new submission through our form. We are working hard on integrating those features to our site and make your lives easier.
How do I ‘unsubscribe’ from Tekuma?
Just send us an email or better call us, and we will get back to you within 48 hours. There is nothing preventing you from ending your relationship with us. We are basically putting your work on display but you own the art. You can keep selling prints on your own as well. This is not an exclusive collaboration.
