Karen Kitayama has a background in History of Fine Arts, and in Architecture. At MIT, she focused her research on architectural representation in the absence of gravity. ‘‘These drawings focus on the physical forces associated with life and motion in a rotating environment, and the formal and geometric architectural responses to those forces.‘’
